No hair dye won't kill them but it might turn them blond.
What works without chemicals to remove eggs and lice:
1) Wash your hair as usual
2) Put conditioner in but don't wash it out.
3) Go through every bit of hair with a special fine toothed nit comb.
Change bedding to avoid recontamination. Put pillows in plastic bags and store them for a month and any eggs and nits will be dead by then.

Hell no, the best thing for lice is the shampoo, unfortunately I can't remember what the products name was. and you still have to comb the lice and pick off the tiny see through eggs on the hair. Or shaving the hair is another option.

I would think it would because of the chemicals, but maybe after you should buy a nit comb. treat your daughter because you can get it afterwords, I know I had a scare, they sent home notes in pre-school about one of the children had lice, I sat up all night with a flashlight looking at my daughters head, I have always heard of lice but never really studied lice but there are plenty of websites if you google head lice, you may find some answers to your questions.

Buy a spray to kill the lice first. I doubt that dying your hair will kill the lice.
