If cooking vegetables you cook until they are very soft and puree them. Fruits can be mashed until smooth. This is about all I can tell you. Good luck.

I would think if you cooked whatever it is that you want such as veggies, steam them until they are quite done and then put them in a blender or food processor. If needed you could add a little water if they are too thick. For fruit I wouldnt think you would have to cook them, like bananas, just process them very smooth and add some water or maybe a little milk (not cows milk). With bananas though they do get brown really soon so you would have to make a little at a time just enough for baby to eat or else add a little ascorbic acid (vitamin c) to keep them from browning. You can buy ascorbic acid I think in powder form but might want to ask your pharmacist how much a babies tummy can tolerate as it is vitamin c and is safe but it can upset your stomach. If you read baby food jars you can see they put it in a lot of the fruits too for the same reason. Good luck!

The foods in the jars are already cooked. They can be served at room temperature. Especially the fruits. Others can be warmed with water. Just put the unopened jar in warm water for a few minutes before serving. OR, do like I did. Remove the lid, put it in the microwave to warm it. Be careful though, it can make hot spots in the food.
If you are making your own, leave out the seasoning, put it in your food processor or blender, or even masher, or a fork. Mash the food up to the consistency you child requires, and feed'em!

I think you are talking about the foods that will start to look like ours ? If So, just warm for 20 secs in microwave, stir them up and take a taste test ... you can judge if it is too hot or needs another 10 secs.. then be sure to stir and sample again...
I think that may be the old fashioned way and you might give baby some of your germs... but did you nurse?? then don't worry about it.... lol

Cook to feed a baby? If so, just run it under warm water, in the jar, until it is warm. I would get one of those heat indicating spoons, too. If not for a baby, for who?

You don't need to cook. You can serve at room temp, however I ran the jars under hot water for my son so he would eat them. Good Luck!

Aren't they already cooked? Just heat them in the microwave, or put the jar in hot water and simmer it over the stove..
