Do Catholicism and alternative therapies complement each other, or would the practice of such therapies cause you to question your beliefs? Are there conflicts between the 2? For example, could I be a catholic and a reiki master without jeopardising my integrity on either of these beliefs/principles?

Religion has nothing to do with practicing Reiki. It is a question of whether one experienced the healing powers.

Talk to a priest about the subject, and explain what you want to do in the ebst way you can. Remember the parable about the wineskins? It was describing a similar situation as you are in. If what you intend to do is religious in nature than you will unltimately destroy yourself spiritually.

a Catholic can not get into Reiki,which I might add does not work,I know many who have practiced this for years to no avail.

It depends on whether or not the alternative therapy is religious in nature, and if religious, if that religion is Catholicism or not, eh?

There's a very, very good reason why actual, qualified doctors do not practice 'alternative' therapies like reiki.
There's also a pretty closely-related reason why bored housewives with weekend diplomas do practice them.

i have met some christian witches, and its a hard path for them to follow sometimes, but i have not met any catholics who are into the alternative healings, but i'm sure they exist

Its only bad for your faith if you think that waving a wand and chanting boodoo bada bing will make you lose all faith that you were created by god and jesus died for your sins. Otherwise go for it.

Before you begin anything take GOD name.
Like before eating or drinking, take GOD name.
Before begining reki therepy take GOD name and say that HE has all the Power to heal.
