this almost impossible to do unless she wants to break it off too, and even then it's difficult.. Just be honest. tell her that the time spent with her was great but realistically you don't think you have a future with her.

Stephen, there isn't an easy way. More than anything DO NOT lie on the reason you want to break up.
It doesn't matter whether you've been dating one day or one year....and though it is nothing more then to move on with your life....we ALL perceive it as "rejection" though that isn't what it is.
So yes she will hurt, but if it was the other way around you would too feel the same way.
It is better to end it, then to give false hope in something....and it does not matter if the reasons are selfish or not, just be HONEST.
Honesty yes can hurt, but that is what helps us stop and evaluate ourselves for future relationships. We all will forever be on that self-improvement mode, even when we finally meet the right girl/guy.

Honey, no matter how easy you try to make it, it will hurt. That is just a part of the breakup process we can't avoid. Just try to keep it nice, no harsh words. People come into our lives , people move on. That is life. I have always felt that no matter how long a person has been a part of your life, there was a definate reason for them being there at that time or season of your life. You can treasure these relationships and look back on them at a time in your life... if it was a good relationship. We all grow from every relationship we have had in our lives. We all walk away hopefully learning something in the process. The good and the bad. Just be easy on her. You can't stay in a relationship where you are not fullfilled. Follow your heart but use your mind. Good luck to you.

Well, I don't think that it is possible to do it without hurting someone. Afterall, you're in a relationship...so there are feelings. What speaks highly is to do it with compassion and show empathy for what she is going thru. Be honest, but not disrespectful. So many times, guys (mainly) just become distant...or turn to someone else...because they want to avoid confrontation or feel like they will hurt them more by being honest. Trust that the truth is more palatable...the insecurities felt from not knowing what happened or feeling at fault is so much more difficult to bear.

No matter how you break it off it is going to hurt. That's just human emotion. Be honest so that their are no loose ends and she has closure. Most importantly, break it off before you start to see other people! If you don't that will not only hurt her, but it will also bottom out her self-esteem. Good luck.

There's no easy way to let someone down. Don't give her the old "we can still be friends" bit; don't tell her she's too good for you. Don't feed her a bunch of bull. Pick a good time. Perhaps it would be better over the phone, so she can save some dignity. You need to be kind, but directly tell her you want to move on. Thank her for being a part of your life; tell her it's been fun, etc. but be honest. That's all.

It is gonna hurt! No matter how you do it. It will hurt.
Just be polite. Tell her that your just not wanting to continue you all's relationship.
She will cry. Maybe not!
And leave it at that.

Theres really no way, you can try just keep "dating" them and don't talk, call, or hang out with them and they will dump you. Its the best shot you got!

There's no way it isn't going to hurt. So decide you respect her and be truthful. And stick to it.
