loosely it refers to Yin and Yang. The symbol you see on the Korean flag is called taeguk.. hence the flag in Korean is called taeguki.

I think it's also a series of forms in Tae Kwon Do.

If you are refering to Takewon Do training, then it means "grand eternity".

It refers to the poomsae moves which are sequences learnt for the various gradings of different belts.

It think it means two symbols that work together in harmony, like on their national flag (A bit like yin/yang?)
