Good question there are people who study this yearly and still don't know. I do know that politicians use or tax code to pander to special interest groups and essentially buy votes. This would all stop with the Fair Tax. Learn more www.fairtax.org

None of us really know for sure. In order to find out this infomation you'd have to read the entire tax code which would take a person about 5 years to do. Isn't that a sad state of affairs lol

The Tax structue depends on how many wars are going on at the time. Its' currently quite high as there are so many wars.
