You HAVE described signs of infection, sounds like your piercing site is. Doesn't have to be painfull, but it may become so if not treated. Use some boiled COOLED water with a bit salt in it, clean cotton wool to gently bathe and an antiseptic ointment from chemist, then cover with a sterile dressing. If no improvement is noticed after a few days, visit your doc.

Hot to the touch, red and swollen and pus coming out.
Get it sorted before it gets worse.
Good Luck

It is infected!! You could go to the doctor for some antibiotics though I think they would be reluctant to hand them out for infected piercings. Just keep cleaning it - I usually use salt water. Even when it appears healed carry on cleaning because it will likely flair up again otherwise!!

If it is red and there is presence of pus then believe me it will be infected, If you bathe it in salty water this should clean it.

That sounds just like an infected piercing to me. Bathe it in some aniseptic, keep in clean visit your GP. Really common in naval piercings...

If it is infected it will be red, maybe swollen and there will be puss. It may also be warm or hot to the touch. According to what you are describing it is infected.

It is infected, the doctor can give you antibiotics (he won't make you take it out!)
