Don't take the lift - always opt for the stairs. Walk around as much as possible, or stand, instead of just sitting at your desk all day (if that is what you do?) Buy a pedometer, i've calculated that 32 steps = 1 calorie. You can keep an eye on how many calories you are using up during the day. Walk to work if possible, or walk to a further bus stop. Walk quickly, don't saunter. Go swimming before work - it seems early, but you will feel really refreshed for the day ahead! Or go on your way home from work. Is there a gym near your work, that you could go to in your lunch hour? I know it doesn't sound like 'fun', but i enjoyed it when i eventually decided to give it a go. Eat less sugary/fatty food too. Don't eat crisps/biscuits/cakes/sweets etc, it will make a difference.
Good for you, and good luck. You deserve it.

I brought a step twister and it is great small and compact. It works every muslce in your body i have the one with the arm pulls so I work out all over. i put it on to my fav music and that keeps me going have now got up to 15 mins each go.It only cost £30 but well worth it.
For free you could put on your fav music and have a good old dance out lol
Hula hoops are popular and cheap easy to store good for waist and hips.
Invest in a really good keep fit dvd the Ganor fay from fat friends is good i use that.

Leave for work earlier & walk part of the way or buy a workout dvd, I can recommend Davina Mcall's (the one with 3 30 minute workouts) , as each workout is only for 30 mins you don't get bored!!

Buy a swiss ball and get up to some interesting jiggery pokery on that.

Doesn't take up much room so it should still be okay for your flat. It will build lean muscle which will then eat the fat cells surrounding it, helping your BMI.
