Initially many do, but then they outgrow it and learn more and possibly differing morals from the next show, and then the next and before you know it you are at reality TV.
It is better they learn it at home, in school and if applicable to the family involved at their place of religion.

I suspect that the most repeated message to which we are all exposed is the fundamental message of the television commercial. That message is that we are somehow lacking, but if we purchase the product advertised we can be better, smarter, more lovable than anyone else, and that we deserve, for no apparent reason and without any particular merit, to "have it all."
Consequently, our lives have become a festival of self-doubt, alleviated briefly by the purchase of a new item.
It doesn't matter, in the long run, what the product is, since the message for each product is the same and that underlying message is the one we are exposed to most repeatedly.
