It made me so sad when he told me that. I asked why and he said because you are not Irish. I said some one once told me you do not need to be Irish to be Irish. I said I want something green. He said no because you are not Irish. I said I am not going to give you anything then. He said I do not care because I am not Irish either. I am so confused. What should I do?

I did not know your supposed to give gifts on this day, I thought you just have to wear green .... Don't be offended, if you get a gift on this day, do you also get a gift on labor day and memorial day?

St. Patrick's Day is not a gift giving holiday so don't sweat.

Now about that sentence: "I said someone once told me you do not need to be Irish to be Irish." Actually girl, to be Irish, you have to be Irish. I mean think about it. It doesn't make any sense.

St. Patrick's day isn't one of the holidays for gift giving. Everyone I know don't go around giving gifts to anyone. On St. Patricks day here, if a person isn't wearing green. You pinch them, so when St. Patty's day comes around and he's not wearing green. Just give him a pinch. And make sure your wearing green.

St. Patrick's Day isn't a gift giving occasion anyway(except if your birthday happens to be on that day)! What kind of a grifter are you?

You should dump him and get someone worthy of your affection. You are the most important person in the whole world and you should search 'til you find Mr. Stupid...I mean Mr. Right. Yah...that's the ticket.

If you are so obsessed with getting presents or just presents from him....go buy yourself a gift, wrap it and sign his name to a card. Then act surprised when you open it up.

You should grow up, develop a little self esteem and maturity, and not worry about getting gifts for every little holiday that comes along.

he is being silly, fesitivity are time to have fun. No matter where the person belongs.

He might be a bit silly but you don't have to be buy gifts. Give one to him anyways and give the other one in his hands and ask him to give it to you and tell him. The world is already divided atleast let us be united in festivity and ask him to give the other gift to you.:)
