All digital information consists of zeros and ones, this is called binary data.

one bit of data can only have a value of 0 or 1.

8 bits equal 1 byte of data, for example, 11111111 is a byte of data that has a decimal value of 255.

00000000 is a byte of data that has a decimal value of zero, because zero is significant, as in 0 = false and 1 = true.

Check out Wikipedia for more info.

Bits and bytes are related to programming.
Diffrence between these two is related to its size.ie these two are using memory locations differently and the size is also different.
