Most doctors would say that is OK just make sure she gets plenty of fluids, that is the most important thing is keeping her hydrated, she is losing fluids fast with the vomiting and diarrhea, make sure she is urinating good and if you notice little crystals in her urine then take her to the ER for hydration, I hope she is feeling better soon there is nothing more worrisome when your child is sick.

Young children get dehydrted super easy, I would pay a visit to your doctor just to make sure there is nothing more that can be done for her, a week is a REALLY long time for a 3 year old to be that sick. The doctor may just say it's a virus and to keep her hydrated but it's worth it to take her in... better safe than sorry!

If you are worried about the health of your child you will continue to worry unless you see a doctor. To me, vomiting and diarhea for over a week is something to visit the doctor about even if you have visited the doc a week ago another visit may be in line. They may get him/her and I.V. and flush out his system with some meds in it. It really sucks because you have to wait an hour or so while it does it and kids don't like I.V.'s heh. Chances are though, if you're worried it's for a reason so just take your kid to the doctor just in case.

A three-year-old cannot sustaine diarrhea and vomitting for very long. This has gone on far too long. She needs to get to your family doctor to assess the stiuation and replenish her fluids and electrolytes. I seriously doubt that the answerer who identifies herself as a nurse is a nurse. If she were, she would have known to advise you on electrolyte imbalance associated with diarrhea and vomiting in children. This is a very serious issue and needs to be addressed immediately.

She is most likley dehidrated... Make sure she is getting her fluids...Try to get her to keep food down, but not to much that she will vomit again. Try toast (with nothing on it)!!! (try a coke, (this will help settle the stomach). Try hot tea. One thing to remember!!! Do not let her get in a bath right after she eats!!! this can upseat her stomach more.. And she might throw up in the shower or bath...( From experience)

I would take her to the hosital as if she is not eating and drinking and she has diahorrea then she will be losing lots of water and she will become de-hydrated. It is always better to be safe.

A week is a long time. Take her to the doctor. She may have typhoid (enteric fever).
