I'm not sure what your talking about, but the thing that comes to mind is the angle in which your hair is cut...

Sometimes we cut on a 45 degree angle, which gives you shorter hair around your neck, but longer hair on top, kinda like a "bob", or a "swing bob" which is shorter at the neckline, but longer as it goes around your chin area.

Hairdressers cut hair on different angles....45, 90, and so on...even a 0 degree hair cut.

So..thats what comes to mind with me....

its when your hair in the back is shorter than in the front as it goes forward towards the front of your head your hair is longer i used to have my hair that way it makes your head feel so much lighter
