I have a new PC with Windows Vista Home Basic already installed, only now I am unable to connect PC extras (printer, digital photo card reader, phone) . Each time I try to install anything it says err no drivers found for this device. I have searched my computer, used the discs that came with my equipment, called the manufacturing companies all to no avail. This new program is really pushing my buttons so to speak. So does anyone no where I can obtain the vista compatible drivers?

You'll need to download Vista-compatible drivers from each peripheral manufacturer's website. IF they exist, that's where they'll be.

So if you have a Canon printer, a Fuji camera, an Epson scanner, and a Logitech mouse/trackball, you will need to search the "download" section of each of those four sites for the appropriate driver.

Windows Vista will drive more PC users to purchase Macs than any ad-campaign Apple ever conceived.

Good luck.

You will have to visit the websites of the manufacturers of the peripherals that are giving you problems, there are lots of drivers available from them for Vista. If they are not on those sites yet you are stuck with waiting for them to be made available. This is the problem with being an early investor in a new OS

The best place is to go to the website for the manufacturer of each device (e.g. http://www.hp.com for an HP printer). Some hardware will not have Vista drivers yet, but most pieces of hardware do.

You have to go to the website of the company that makes your hardware, and they should have the new drivers for you to download. Vista has lots of them installed it in it. go to the welcome screen and click on updates and some of them will install through windows vista. Lexmark has new drivers for thier printers, and most all digital camera manufactors have them on thier website. I have vista business, and had to do the same thing.
