When I hear someone say that he doesn't believe in God, I tell him that I don't believe either in the God in which he doesn't believe.
For a man of the 21st century belief in God has to have a rational and scientific basis otherwise it can lead easily to superstition.
An atheist is someone who has not heard or read a rational, scientific and convincing proof of the existence of a Creator. This doesn't mean that the proof does not exist.

A delusion about what?
Believers like to say that nonbelievers are ignorant, but they're completely unable to point to anything that we're ignorant about. It's just name-calling, and is not even remotely like what we atheists do when we point out the ignorance of (say) creationists who raise the "evolution is only a theory" nonsense, or believers who cite the Bible as though it were evidence.
There's a world of difference between pointing out someone's ignorance and simply calling someone ignorant. Same with "delusional".

No. One could ask the same thing about Christianity, and probably have a better chance of answering yes to that. Its harder to have a delusion when there is nothing there in the first place - but to believe in something that doesn't exist? Now, there is where you get delusional.

element one, it rather is to no longer do with seeing him bodily, it rather is approximately there no longer being a shred of information for him. element 2, that's a incredibly shakey ethical perspective to account on your strikes if it rather is in basic terms when you consider which you experience you're responsible to a "greater potential". element 3, see element 2. element 4, Morality isn't a rely of absolutes and apart from, that's particularly people who regard it in those words that locate it handy. The delusions lie in blind faith. some human beings desire to question and verify out concepts, ethical and in any different case, particularly than merely settle for what they have been advised.

No. It's a well thought out decision after weighing all of the information including massive societal pressures. I'm always surprised that anyone thinks Atheists have it easy. Best to you.

I genuinely don't believe in any god or afterlife-I am an atheist right? I'm not delusional, pretty normal. I think we have evolved scientifically and when we die, we're dirt, that's about it.
