No. In fact, sitting in a sauna when you are sunburned will only make things worse.

Milk compresses work amazingly well to soothe the heat of a sunburn. Soak a washcloth in milk. Squeeze the washcloth so that you don't drip everywhere and lay it on your sunburn. Repeat as needed. (A cool milk bath is also very soothing.)

When you are done with the milk, put a gel or lotion that is 80-90% aloe vera on your sunburned skin. This will promote healing.

I once was advised to use vinegar. It does work to relieve the pain, but you will be guaranteed to peel. Milk at least gives you a chance at saving a tan.

Hope you feel better soon, Honey.

Well, as a redhead, I know all to well about sunburns! I'm telling you, vinigar is the best thing for sunburns! I put it in a spray bottle and spray it on. The vinigar actually takes the burn out. It burns for a few seconds at first, then the pain is gone and stays gone. You can actually touch your skin, and it will still be red, but it doesn't hurt. And it's alot cheaper than all those sunburn meds they have over the counter that don't work. I wouldn't suggest getting into a sauna to make the heat worse. That will hurt like heck! Try the vinigar. It's the best thing.

Having a chilly bath would be a better option, but that should have been done as soon as possible after you were burned.
