The Shorkie Tzu is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Shih Tzu and the Yorkshire Terrier. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. This hybrid dog is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. The only people (in my opinion) who does cross breeding are back yard breeder, puppy mills. it is 100%wrong, they like to tell people you are getting the best of both breeds but they dont tell you your getting the worst of both breeds as well and they try to tell you how its going to be or look all grown up but you cant predict what a mutt will look like as a adult. good luck!!

it is a yorkie/shih zhu mix. It is what people are calling designer breeds now. They basically take 2 distictive breeds and mix them. Most of these breeders do not do genetic testing before breeding. They just let them go at it. Another problem which these "designer dogs" is that it is hard to tell the characteristics and temperment of your dog until it is too late. Many of these dogs grow up to be aggresive or have other personality defects. While others are the sweetest dogs you have ever met. Problem is which is which. Two dogs from the same litter can look completely different.

They are basically mutts with a cute name. Not worth paying for. But, worth loving.

That would most likely be a mutt with at least 3 different types of breeds. I'm guessing the 'sh' could be shih tzu or schnauzer. The 'orkie' part is yorkshire terrier (yorkie for short) . As for the tau....? Who knows. could be a typo and they meant to put 'tzu' which is the second part of shih tzu. Or it could be made up so they can charge you money for a mixed breed dog.
