Hmmm...I always though alternators were rated in amperes.

As it is, a 1200 watt RMS amp will require at least a 150 amp alternator plus the "BIg 3" (power wires between the alt. and bat. and the ground strap) and a heavy duty deep cycle batery to replace the stock battery.

sturdy vehicle, yet once you pass watching it, examine it out under the hood. The GT-S is the overall performance type and risk is its been pushed as such. i've got seen a ton of those vehicles come interior the save burning oil in the previous they even hit 60,000 miles. Its no longer merely the Celice GT-S, the Toyota VVTL-i engines frequently look to have had this difficulty burning oil. once you're set on a Celica GT-S, seek for a TRD version, they're fairly mind-blowing and are available decked out with a panasonic device.

This is not about ideas - it's about you alternator's ability to handle 100+ Watts for the stereo alone. About 100 Watts is what it's rated as MAX output. Since it's Toyota, in real life you can expect 90. In any case, you need a custom high output (200 Watts or so) alternator that usually costs about $200.
