A couple of years ago my son and his girlfriend were involved in a car smash at the end of our street. She phoned me screaming for me to come quickly ,as I ran up the street I saw my son in the middle of the road on his back, not moving...as it turned out he wasn't badly injured ..but for a second or two as I approached him...I can't really describe the feeling of abject terror.

One night I crept out my house to meet my boyfriend and we...
The next day I went to my cousin's house and we went to the park where we started to drink alcohol with other kids. My sister came along and saw us. She then went home and told my mother on us. However, my cousin and I were unaware of this and we both felt very happy. Then my mother came to pick me up and I knew I was in trouble from the look on my mother's face!
Somehow she found out that I had done the deed with my boyfriend and to make things worse I was drinking.
I won't go into details about what she did to me, but let's just say I was very unhappy and frightened.

On Sunday night driving down the M1 in Yorkshire in the dark with heavy traffic. I'm usually a really confident driver but something scared me lots. I found out on Monday it was where the Drifters car crash was a few hours later, I'm not surprised, it is a horrible patch of road.

I broke up a fight between a full-grown man and a 17-year old boy about a week ago. They both had their hands around the others' throat. I wasn't concerned that I'd get hurt, I was afraid they'd hurt each other. It didn't help that there were three women screaming, but not doing anything to stop them.

We were at the grocery store and my daughter lost sight of me (I could see her the whole time btw) and she got scared and took off running through the store screaming for me. I had to grab my youngest and run after her and wow was she fast! She made straight for the front door and was heading out blindly toward the parking lot. She was screaming so loud that she couldn't hear me calling her name.
She did finally stop and we caught up to her, but it took half the day for my heart to stop racing, I was sure she was going to get run over.

When I was standing post manning a .50 cal with orders to shoot anyone that approaches, I was a damned helicopter mechanic, not infantry.
