Bible.

I believe Muhammad was a prophet sent because the Catholic Church had entered into an all out war converting people by torture and murdering people. Muhammad was sent to rebut the idea of torture, murder and crusades to convert people.

But the message sent through Muhammad was corrupted by those who hate, in league with Satan, and so the message of Muhammad has been corrupted to the point where many Muslims now follow the same path Muhammad was sent to deny. Many Muslims, like Many Catholics, and many others follow people in the form of Imam's and Clerics and Priests and Popes instead of God.

Timothy 3:16 all scripture is from God. I believe All scripture is good for education but only the Holy Bible is good for Salvation.

THE BIBLE

"The all sufficient book".

2 Peter 1:3 says, "seeing that God’s divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness"
Jude 3, "contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints."

John 16:13, "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth"

The Bible contains 100% of the information needed for being a Christian.

By using the Bible alone we can attain the following 10 things:

1. Life in the name of Jesus (John 20:30-31)
2. Commands of the Lord (1 Cor. 14:37)
3. Knowledge of the mystery of Christ (Eph. 3:2-5).
4. The proper conduct (1 Tim. 3:14-15);
5. Every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17);
6. Protection against sin (1 John 2:1);
7. An assurance of eternal life (1 John 5:13);
8. Standard by which the doctrine of all religious leaders are tested (Acts 17:11; 1 Cor. 4:6);
9. Joy that is complete (1 John 1:1-4);
10. Standard of judgment (Rev. 20:12).

THE QUR'AN

The Koran on the other hand, is not all sufficient:

Unlike the Bible, the Koran is not all sufficient by itself, but needs the Hadith. For example, only in the Hadith do we learn that Muslims are to pray 5 times a day. The Qur'an by itself, is like a red sports car with no motor. The seller strokes it, extols its virtues, but when you sit behind the wheel and turn the key it won't run! It is only after considerable confusion (which the Pakistani scholar Maududi acknowledged) that you realize that the Qur'an cannot drive the Koran without the Hadith. Thus Muslim scholars say the Qur'an and Hadith MUST both be preserved.

Muslims may be surprised to learn that, contrary to popular belief, The Qur'an never charges the Bible with textual corruption. (The Qur'an declares the Bible to be a true revelation of God and demands faith in the Bible. Sura 2:40-42,126,136,285; 3:3,71,93; 4:47,136; 5:47-51, 69,71-72; 6:91; 10:37,94; 21:7; 29:45,46; 35:31; 46:11) Read this verses from the Qur'an and proved it forself.

the Quran....because we have had the Quran for many many many years, and since this day we haven't changed any words in the Quran. The bible is all edited and added to unlike the Quran. The Quran is still up to date, with out being edited by any one. The Bible has to be edited by a pope or someone for it to be up to date. Thats why my answer is the Quran.

There are now more than 60 versions of the Bible(Different versions not translations The different versions of the Bible are not merely different translations, but are actually versions i.e. they add and remove things from other versions)

These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect

The Bible is a collection of writings by many different authors. The Qur'an is a dictation. The speaker in the Qur'an - in the first person - is God talking directly to man. In the Bible you have many men writing about God and you have in some places the word of God speaking to men and still in other places you have some men simply writing about history.

Both are.. Quran states that the Bible is a divine book inspired by God to jesus, Muslims believes that some Haman modification has been made to the Bible and that's the only difference therein. Holy books are considred to be an "Upgrade" to each other.

The holy Bible and the holy Quran have been written by the great spiritual personalities based on their experiences.

It was taking into consideration the compulsions of the contemporary times.

The essence of all the religions is same, since their origin lies in the Universal Eternal Divine Religion.

The bible is the word of God, the God of Christians because the name of our God is God, while the Quran is the word of the God of the Muslims which is called Allah. They called their God as Allah but I think we have the same God, but the teachings varries because of different interpretation on the teachings of God.It can be also on the translation done by the translator from hebrew to other languages and from other languages to languages all over the word.

The Creator of universe never left people unguided and unattended. He sent many Messengers (Prophets) and Books, in every area and period. All prophets and books taught and guided the same Islam, with a little modifications according to area & period. Finally the Last Book/Prophet completed such guidance & teachings to be obeyed at all times & places. Islam certifies all previous prophets and holy books, which were repealed when new books were revealed.
Thus Quran is the only words of Creator of universe presently since Bible is altered, amended, changed and adulterated.

Both quran and bible are the words of God as well as the Veic scriptures, Puranas, especially Bhagavad-gita is called the Song of God, for Bhagavan=God and Gita=song.

After the creation, God gave various scriptures so that human beings can, by reading them lead a peaceful life on earth and understand the purpose of God.

Scriptures vary from place to place and are different according the nature of the persons capacity.

Jesus Christ appeared in a different place
Mohammed(pbuh) appeared in different place
And other preachers of God consciousness appeared in different places and gave different methods of approach to God. Though, all speak about the same God consciousness, the way of approach is different due to difference in language, place and circumstances etc...

The Vedas say three are many ways,viz., Karma yoga, Sankhya youga, Jnana Yoga, Dhyana yoga and ultimately Bhakti yoga for different practitioners.
