What seem to be numbers in English, are actually letters in Hebrew and Arabic!
The 6 is "la" a word with lamed, the alphabet "l" or "not", in other words thrice NO or thrice denied is the Name of God.
For example 786 means La illaha ilillah in Arabic, which is why you'll see most Muslims consider this number auspicious.
Pax vobiscum, pax dominic.

666 number is not associated with the devil. It is the number of man which the scripture says in the book of Revelation. It is the Title of the man who will profess to be God.
The pope has this number, and when you add all the roman numeral printed on his title, it will produce the number 666.
( VACARIOUS FELLIS DEI ) = 666 - Meaning to say that he is the christ on earth.

Hearsay.
666 is not the number of the devil, and it never has been. 600-20-20-20-6 is the number of a man, according to the Bible.

The number 6 in Biblical numerology represents man or imperfection, so three 6's in one man (the Antichrist) being indwelt by Satan represents an unholy trinity of Satan, the False Prophet, and the Antichrist using man-made imperfection to imitate the power of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost), deceiving people in such a way that GOD will "cause a strong delusion to come upon them so that they would believe the LIE", as the Scripture says. Read it in Revelation where it says, "Here is wisdom. Let he who hath understanding count the number of the Beast, for it is the number of a MAN. And his number is Six hundred, threescore (A "score" equals 20, so 20 x 3=60), and six".

The number is used in the Book of Revelation to refer to the Anti-Christ. However, in some ancient manuscripts there are variant numbers, such as 613.
