Basically I am looking for a site that offers info on Islam that is not full of Koran quotes. I am more interested in social, religious structure and etiquette. I know there are tons of sites but found it difficult to navigate or find what I am looking for.

I'm not too sure as to what it is that you need?

Social, religious structure and etiquette; actually would be regional, not religious.

Are you trying to find out more about the Arab way of life?

Their culture? Their social structure?

Do try the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Try Wikipedia. Also, buy a book on Islamic history written from an objective scholarly perspective. You'll find that Islam has had a tremendously positive impact on history.

However, you still should read a good translation of the Qur'an (like the Rodwell or Sale translations, both of which can be downloaded online).

Islam replaced into unfold with sword. entire Iran and Egypt have been switched over to Islam in approximately 15-17 years. Muslims killed hundreds of thousands in India for refusing to transform to Islam. Muslims could desire to transform in basic terms a small share of Hindus to Islam. Descendants of those converts now stay in Pakistan and are professionals in terrorism and suicide bombings.

islamonline.net.
You will get many answers, but must see yourself and decide what is best for you. If you see the Quranic verses, do not read them. How can a Muslim construct a site without quoting from his Holy Book?? The Quran does not bite.

I wish there was an English version of the sites that I visit.
There are lots of stories and stuff on the sites that I go to. Most of them are from well known Islamic books.

Anyways I will give you some nice links to some books...

try this good website

Word of wisdom:
It is almost impossible to find unbiased site about Islam. Almost all the sites are biased either pro-Islamic or anti-Islamic. You will ahve to do your own homework to find the right word.

This is one of my favorites:

Youd love this site in general because its not just religious.

Edit: Submission.org is maintained by a man who has good ideals but claims that the Quran has extra verses it shouldnt. I would advise you take his website with a grain of salt.
