Hi, my oven's temperature is not evenly and bottom is too hot. I always end up the bottom of cake is overcooked, the top is a bit under cooked.
Does anyone know how to keep the temperature evenly?

Before pre-heating the oven put a casserole dish of water under each cake pan ... this will shield the bottom and allow the heat to distribute more evenly.

Also be sure to always pre-heat the oven.

Cakes are almost always baked at 350 degrees. Pans should never go on the floor of the oven and your oven rack should be in the middle or one notch up from the middle.

I would suggest buying an oven thermometer first. They are inexpensive and can be found at the grocery store. Put the oven thermometer on the floor of the oven and set the oven to 375. Wait and check the thermometer. If it's more than 10 degrees off and you have a gas stove, you can have the gas company come out and adjust it for you.

The interior of ovens, even large ones, is so small that it would be very unlikely that the temperature is cooler at the top than at the bottom. Never mind that heat rises, so if the temperatures were different it would be hotter at the top than at the bottom.

Do you have Gas or Electric oven?? I would first buy an oven temp that will fit on the rack of your oven and see what It reads when yo9u have your oven set to bake etc..Then if that is not accurate you may need a repairman to maybe install a new thermostat. or heating element if electric

Alas, that is the problem with ovens.
You could try buying a fan assisted oven, which uses air movement to regulate the temperature throughout.
