Local court houses in the U.S. have public files that are available to the public for free, including sex offenders. Many people don't realize that, but it is our right as tax paying citizens to know who we live near.

A misunderstanding about criminal histories is that they are available on line.
First, TRUE criminal histories are only available to the judicial system via the FBI who maintains those records.
Federal law prohibits the dissemination of those records outside the judicial system and are NOT available under the Freedom of Information Act.
Second, the on-line criminal histories are most often lacking in substantial information and are incomplete to say the least.
As one blogger has stated, if the information you seek is of a sex offender, you may search the Internet under your states Department of Public Safety website and see the listings of the sex offenders in your area.
Your local courthouse MIGHT provide limited access to court documents for a fee, however, much of the information may be censured as allowed by law to protect victims of crimes.
Best wishes!

they have entire websites dedicated to giving out criminal records. but you may not get anything real confidential. go to google and just type in something like, "find someone". but i think that a good site that i used was peoplesearch.com

If you have a reason for it, then go to the police. If you still cant get it, then hire a private detective. Otherwise, buy it on the black market
