Also, I heard that you have to have at least 1gb of RAM to run vista. If thats the case , if I run my new 2GB RAM laptop through XP , it should be unbeliveable fast ? Or would it ?

Vista is better than Xp, but I would not upgrade until sp1 comes out. There are still a few bugs in vista which are not to much to overcome, but yet are there. I have been runing vista for about three weeks now and I find it to be more stable than XP due to less crashes, and 1Gig is recommended in order to use all the features in vista. Right now I say stay with Xp until service pack 1 is out. I have 2gis of PC2 6400 dimms that makes vista fly, along with Amd 64/2 4200+ cpu on nforce4m-a 3.0 mother board.

I "Have" Vista but it is installed on my old computer that has no data on it except Vista. I will not and i suggest that nobody else put it on anything with personal information until at least SP1 or a major security update comes out.

Besides that it looks nice and has some better functions than XP but beware as in anything else brand new (first year of a new model car) it has its bugs and security problems.

XP is like a open white canvas in which u can do anything or do anything u may wish.. But VISTA has limitations becoz of it's very secure safety features... I am not impressed by it's graphics or designs, like it said it would be.... so don't expect it to blow ur mind away...

Vista seems rushed, it gets buggy sometimes - Sometimes it gets laggy and it froze up once and couldnt boot until next day... dunno y but hasnt occured again O_o

So far, Windows XP with SP2 seems to be the best option
