Charcoal does most definitely work but maybe you have just more than it can handle. You have most probably got an imbalance of bowel bacteria. Pathogenic bacteria tends to create large amounts of very smelly gas. Book yourself in for a course of colonics and then take a good quality probiotic for two to three months - should do the trick.

Hi, It is a myth about farting that most of the gas is produced inside you from the breakdown of food. Actually about 70% of the air you expell is from air taken down when you swollow or drink fizzy drinks and in a lot of people who fart too much bad mastication is often to blame. Chew your food more before you swallow will help, avoid fizzy drinks especially beer. It is true that different foods will aid the production of methane and sulpher dioxide (the stuff that smells in farts) so diet is also a factor.
You could also have a medical condition like irratable bowl syndrome, you could see a doctor if problem persists.

Charcoal for excess flatulance? Ah well - at least you won't have to worry about getting fat, but your tongue might put people off. Hibee has solved your concern. They like that sort of thing down south, Petomaine during the breaks!

I would have suggested charcoal. The answer probably lies in your diet. Do you drink not only beer but fizzy pop?Things like beans and pulses create gasses when digesting. Have you seen your doctor?

It is to do with your diet ,you could ask your doctor to refer you to a dietitian or experiment with food yourself cut back to basics fresh fruit and veg meat eggs fish go easy on the bread if you cant cut it out altogether,I wonder if you are over weight or just eat to much processed food. So start on good wholesome food bet you will feel altogether better and you will certainly have more friends,good luck

well of course eating charcoal wont work. You need to just go ahead and bleed of the pressure and you will feel better. If you want medecine for it you shoud try some Milanta.

You could also look at your diet - are you eating too much fibre, or not eating enough food. Are you allergic to anything?
