Do bring your drivers license and birth certificate if you have a birth certificate, but I think only a license will do. You won't need a passport if all you're doing is going by sea or land. If you do, however, got so sick you need hospitization back in America, you'll need a passport to get back home.
Carnival is a fun ship, they all are and you'll have a blast no matter what age, but for the twenty and thirity year olds...you'll have even more fun. There's so much to do on the ship, they'll keep you busy day and night.
I'd suggest buying your snorkel gear here and when you get off the ship, head to the first taxi you see. He'll bring you to the best beach on the island for snorkeling, or parting, just tell him what you're looking for and he'll pick you up too. Bring some good tip money. They really need it more then you.
Any of the excursions...you can book on your own, online or when you get off the ship so you can save money.
You'll have fun. So, just enjoy!

Make sure you have your passport or Birth Certificate and a Valid ID or drivers license and make sure you dont try anything funny, trying to sneak something through customs as they will find it and i wouldnt try to smuggle alcohol onto the ship as they will find that too more then likely. Have fun enjoy yourself go shopping buy souvenirs from the ports of call have fun.

Have fun, try new foods (especially things youve always wanted to try but were too expensive), see the shows and if your ship offers a movie on deck, take a blanket, cuddle up and enjoy watching it under the stars
