Just walk over and say high. But don't mention anything close to picking her up until you have had a decent conversation with her. Talk about something happening around the both of you. Usually if I even sense a guy is trying to pick me up, I lose interest immediately, unless he is gorgeous. =)

I'm not a girl but I've been in your situation before. Well, if you really like this girl and you want to have a relationship with her, you've got to make the first move. Just say hi and start talking to her casually. Talk to her about what you assume both of you enjoy...for example, music, arts, sports...but please think before you say anything...
You have to be very natural with this. Don't freak out while talking to her. Just go with the flow. Be creative.
