I used to go to a place called flanagans apple on Matthews street - been a few years now though.

I agree that Flannagans is a great place on Matthew Street. Last time went there was the Matthew Street Festival in August, heaving but great atmosphere and usually play some irish music to get you in the mood, other pubs round that area good too.

ive worked in bars all óver liverpool for 5 years, and ive gotta say for st patricks day you wont find any better than matthew st, i guarantee you will have a fabulous day/night there.

Queens Square or Matthew Street anywhere you go you will have a good laugh with the good humoured scoucers!!!

probably matthew street!! loads of pubs and bars down there, dont listen to the loon who said dublin you will never find anywhere to stay at such short notice!!
