That effect you can get by buying paint in home depot and just following directions. It is Larph Loren paint. Than when you finish put a poly coat on top of it.

It is not as easy as the answers above would lead you to believe.

Although the first answer gives you a very general answer (and it is pretty good for a short answer) there is way more that has to be done, plus you CAN NOT use that Ralph Lauren paint from Home Depot.

If you would like step by step instructions email me through Y!A and I'll get you through it.

A word of warning... your first attempt will probably suck, and it will take 4 to 6 WEEKS of work.

That is crackle paint.
First you coat the guitar with a metalic gold you like.
Next you apply the crackle paint, in a color of your choice.
be sure to follow the label directions carefully
experiment on a scrap of wood before you paint the guitar
crackle paint varies everytime you put it on, so don't expect the effect to be precisely the same.

Also, you can paint on the orange, the apply the cracks in a gold paint with a couple of very small paint brushes. The first method would be the best in my opinion. Good luck
