I have worked out my BMI, but I don't know what I should be aiming for. What is considered healthy for an average (non-athlete!) person?

A BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered normal

between like 18 and 25. Over 25 is obese. below 18 and you are anorexic. I am a 21. I wish it was a little lower but it's healthy. It will also be higher if you are an athlete, as muscle weighs more than fat..so it doesn't work to judge your weight using BMI in all cases. Oh, I just now see that you said you were non athlete. Ok.
