Honestly males are easier to train then females. I also find it to be boxers. They are of a bigger breed but they are so gentle with kids and they don't have any attitude. The very best way is to get one from a breeder when it is at the 6-8 weeks old so you can raise to how you want it to behave. Mind that you do have to go through potty training and stuff but it is actually worth it. I have 2 boxers now. Bother and Sister. The male we fixed but the female we breed. They are both well mannered, but the female can have a attitude at times but that is just a girl for. I find most female dogs tend to have upity personality and males have a laid back. The females tend to rebel they know what you want them to do but they don't nessciarly listen and males they don't care, as long as they get a treat they are good. Mind you it also depends on the blood background of the dogs. becuase some can have "bad" traits that no matter what training is done, the trait will show through eventaully. If you are really conserined on the tamest and easiet dog. I suggest a male boxer, bulldog, or a pug, more in the toy dog kinda area.....need any further help messege me at chef_05_85 or email at chef_ang@hotmail.com

A trained dog is the tamest dog. Any breed can have a tendency to become a problem if not properly trained. From the littlest breed to the smallest breed training is key.

It depends if you plan on training them. In my experience, I've found poodles to be the most obedient all around. You can get away without training a poodle more so than a lab or golden. On the other hand, if you plan on training your dog very well, any dog could work out.

Based on expreriences I have had, Golden Retreivers are excellent dogs. Very good with children, easliy trainable, great mellow attitude. I have head several different breeds of dogs and by far this is the best, if you can stand the hair! Dobermans are also excellent, you wouldn't think they are big babies, but they really are.

A Trained dog is better than a Tamed Dog. A tamed dog will sometimes attacked you without any provocations at all. while a trained dog will obey any command coming from his master.

Some quiet and calm dogs would be a Cocker Spaniel, Labs (if trained correctly) and or a Puggle (pug and beagle mix)
