Can it be that a different belief relationship leads you to convert to other person's point of view even if you had broke up with the person and not with the person years after the relationship ...u become then convinced of what the other person was telling you and then you convert willingly ? how do you feel when that happen ..? would you then feel a kind of regret that u didn't understand before ...? or a shame that what you have rejected in the past , you now have accepted it ....? have someone been there ?

If you have changed your point of view then that is your choice. Don't assume that someone that you knew years ago that wasn't able to convince you of that point of view had a real influence. As they obviously hadn't presented it well if you had rejected it at the time. Don't regret your past as regret only has a negative effect on your future. Only remember that you will need to have patience when the time comes that you may wish to persuade someone else to this point of view you have now. As you know first hand how it feels to misunderstand it.
Do not dwell on the past but rejoice in the present.

A person cannot be converted, unless they want to be.
