I'm not yet in full-time vocational ministry, but I'd say it's one of the hardest things anyone could ever do. The only way I am able to go about my ministry and work full-time and deal with a medical condition that causes near-constant pain is by God's strength in my life through the Holy Spirit.

There never seems to be an end to the work in ministry, and there usually seems to be far too few helpers and far too much work, and if it weren't for my staying plugged into God's Word and finding renewal in Him each day, there's absolutely no way I could do what He has called me to do.

Don't think they have an easy life, they have studied to do these jobs, priests have to get up early and bee on call at all hours, they have to vist the sick and dying, visit the bereaved, so there is a lot of downsides to the job, but they also attend happy events to like wedding, baptisims.

No. They have to constantly battle with the evidence of the common senses, supress dissenting congregants, recruit true believers, support faith in opposition to thinking, inculcate children with their doctrine, provide individual and marriage counseling, and, most importantly, beg for money.
