That could be a scary thing especially if the cop had only a high school diploma and was on power trip. That could happen and has happened especially now in this day and age. I know that they used to test the policeman psycologically every so often especially the cops that were extremely mean to the criminals. My youngest brother is a highway patrol graduated with a bachelor's degree in law enforcement. Knowledge is power. I take my hat off to these guys. The jobs and the things law enforcement employees have to go through. You could not pay me enough money to put my life on the line every day like these guys do. Somebody has to do it and they do it. I thank them and god bless them for it.

I don't trust any cop. Back years ago in my wilder days my ex boyfriend who was later deceased.... mysterious auto accident took me to a party with a few of his cop friends. They had more drugs there than Scarface and his gang. They were all using and I was very afraid. My boyfriend was an informant (narc). He turned up dead.

I am also thankful for law enforcement officials for the jobs they do on a daily basis. Sure some make mistakes in judgment, just like being in a war zone. Some of our streets are like the frontlines. The pressure must be tremendous on making decisions as to apprehending someone and how far one should go in making arrests. My nephew is an officer in NY. He was involved in a domestic dispute between a man with a gun and his girlfriend. Unfortunately, there were 3 other children in between the two parties. My nephew stepped in the middle of the man with the gun to protect the children and their mother. He was hit in the chest. Fortunately, he was wearing a vest. He still received a bruised heart and shrapnel wounds in his neck, abdomen, and thighs. It happens more often than not on a given night. I figure the only ones that should fear cops are criminals. That's the way it should be.

No, we are not policed beyond our wildest dreams.

All you have to do is listen to the wildest dreams of liberals regarding what the Patriot Act does, and compare it to the reality of what it says.
