Trying to find an airline which flies from Scotland to Hamburg, to no avail. They all seem to involve taking a flight to London first but I ideally need a direct flight as there will be a pensioner and two babies travelling. Can anyone recommend an airline?

There are no direct flights between Hamburg and Scotland. However, easyJet flies Glasgow <> Berlin-Schönefeld. Berlin-Schönefeld has its own railway station, from which you can take a train to Berlin Hauptbahnhof where you can connect to a direct train to Hamburg. The high-speed ICE train between Berlin and Hamburg takes just over an hour and a half.

Alternatively you could look into flying via somewhere -

from Edinburgh with:
Lufthansa via Frankfurt
KLM via Amsterdam
Air France via Paris
British Airways via London

from Glasgow with:
KLM via Amsterdam
British Airways via London

Unfortunately I dont see any direct nonstops from either Edinburgh or Glasgow to Hamburg. Now, I am in the United States, so it may be possible that there could be a smaller airline that doesnt show in our system. I would contact a travel agent in Scotland. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

Berlin has an eclectic mix of new and common structure, energetic amusement, buying, and a wide selection of sports and cultural institutions and if you intend to see it then this hotelbye is the spot to start. Some of the things you will see here are: the Old Museum, the National Gallery, the Bode Museum, Old National Gallery or, the image of Germany, the Berlin Wall. This wall began his living in 1961 when East Germany made off the eastern area of the city to stem the ton of refugees from east to west. By enough time it absolutely was divided down in 1989, the 4 meter large wall and 155 kilometres extended, dissected 55 roads, and possessed 293 statement towers and 57 bunkers. Nowadays, just little stretches of this graffiti-covered travesty remain, including a 1.4-kilometer stretch preserved as part of the Berlin Wall Memorial, a chilling reminder of the animosity that when separated Europe.

I don't see any nonstops. I do see Edinburgh to Cologne on Germanwings (46 GBP single on Saturdays in April, for example), if that helps. http://www.germanwings.com
