Getting a tooth cleaning in Mexico???? Wouldn't the trip be more to get there by the time you added up the whole thing? The cost for the cleaning you had is about normal. You had more than just a regular cleaning to remove tartar.
My Prosthodontist lives 12 hours from me. Since I got my implants going back costs way too much for just a cleaning. For a local Prosthodontist to clean my implants it costs me $109 (no perio scaling needed for this type of cleaning) but if I go to the Prosthodontist in Philadelphia that put my implants in the cost is similar but I have the driving expense and motel expense which can really cha-ching. My last visit for a cleaning ran to over $600 for the whole trip. That is why I think unless you live in Mexico or close the border that going there for a cleaning is a bit excessive.

Perio Scale & Root Planing is not your regular cleaning that you get every 6 months. We charge 260.00/quad at our office, so you're price is reasonable.

i think of $2,2 hundred.00 is a real looking volume of money for a root canal. those issues are not much less costly. purely finally end up yet another dentist in case you're actually not happy with your modern one.

That is about right!
Dentists can charge alot because most of the time no one asks up front how much stuff is.
The only thing I can suggest is calling around to different practices and asking prices.
Dentists are actually one of the top paid professions right under lawyers!
I guess you've found out why.
Good luck!

for comparison, at a biologic dentist in mexico, deep scaling is $55 per quadrant (there are 4 quadrants). the US is generally 3 to 4 times more (for a biologic dentist, can't speak for non-biologic dentists).
a regular cleaning is $35
