do you know what is polygamy? its a kind of relationship where the man had two or three women... if you are in these situation could you stand? watching your love showing affection from the other person? do you think polygamy will lasts? how could you avoid not to jealous?

Since my upbringing is monogamy, surely I can not afford to see my husband being intimate to others. Even those women where polygamy is being practice expressed that they are not happy and they feel jelous. But in a society where women are looked up as just a possession, then who asked either they are comfortable or happy or what? But when women have power and have the right to choose for herself, then she will earn respect and dignity. But there are women who just accept the kind of fate they have because for them that is where they are destined! By the way way, it is a reality that those who have the power are those who have economic base and they dictate and even decide for the rest. So poligamy strives because it is the culture that men decide and nowadys, even Christian practice it, by having a wife and other 2 or 3 or more mistresses! So, is there any difference at all?

Polygamy is gone in most civilized nations in the world. It came about from the need to have children when the birth rate was low, and mother and/or child were at a high risk of dying during birth. It was a function of survival, not relationship enhancment.

Jealousy is the most natural thing when your beloved is beloving someone else. Polygamy is not natural but some women are conditioned to accept it. I personally feel sorry for them. Yeah it can last I think because of the conditioning factor but these women aren't happy. I don't think the men are either.

I think you have to grow up in that kind of culture to appreciate it. Polygamy is usually thought of in marriage, as in having more than one wife or husband. It is illegal in the United States, as far as I know. No, it is not something most women care to live with. Devotion would have to be shared, and most of us like to be exclusively with our own husband/wife.

i could NEVER do it. and i dont think it is natural. besides what kind of insane man would want to be married to more than 1 woman!?!

i wouldn't be able to stand it and i'ld divorce instantly, especially if i were his first wife. i would NEVER marry a guy if he already had a wife.
