Catechism says God created us to love him, serve him and worship him.

I say, He created us because... simple... He loves us.

The Purpose of Creation
The purpose of creation is a topic that puzzles every human being at some point of his or her lifetime. Although most people put the question of why we are created aside after occasional brief reflection, it is extremely critical for human beings to know the answer. Without knowledge of the correct answer, human beings become indistinguishable from the other animals around them. The animal necessities and desires of eating, drinking and procreating become the purpose of human existence by default, and human effort is then focussed in this limited sphere.

Without knowledge of the purpose of life, human existence loses all meaning and is consequently wasted, and the reward of an eternal life of happiness in the hereafter is completely destroyed.

Humans most often turn to other human beings like themselves for the answers. However, the only place that clear and precise answers to these questions can be found is in the books of divine revelation. It was necessary that God reveal the purpose to man through His prophets, because human beings are incapable of arriving at the correct answers themselves. All of the prophets of God taught their followers the answers to the question "Why did God create man?"

Humans created god, but if it were the other way around and god created us, then i surmise it was for nothing more than amusement on boring days when the television broke down.

god did not create us, we created a being that we would like to have hope of the things we could not explain or understand. the way i see the human existence is to discover the unknown.

God created you because he loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

Not just that, he loves you so much that he wants you to know him now and spend eternity with him. Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."1

Jesus came so that each of us could know and understand God in a personal way. Jesus alone can bring meaning and purpose to life.

Best,

God made us to have a relationship with Him and to be with Him forever. Start reading at the first link below in the book of John, and check out the second link for a little bit about my life.

God didn't create us.

We are a product of evolution, unfortunately part of that evolution led to mankind creating gods in their imaginations

I have a hard-time understanding/beliving the evolution theory. it must be a whole heaps of "ups" for such intelegent being (us -mankind) to exist without an intelegent desinger isn't it? Explain to me in evolution theory perspective, how can a matter (atom, etc, etc) suddently "ups" its become a living cell.

God created us as his expression of love. The same as our parent "created" us in expression of their love for one another.

As the bible says in Genesis, orginally we are able to talk face to face with God, however, they choose to disobey him and we got infected with very terrible disease called "sin".

But as the bible promise, "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9)

So one day for those who believe, we will able to talk and experience God's love for us as a parrent to their children today.

There are no gods. Your parents created you when they had sex. You'll have to ask them if you want to know why.
