An effective hand-washing technique involves three stages: preparation, washing and rinsing, and drying. Preparation requires wetting hands under tepid running water before applying liquid soap or an antimicrobial preparation. The handwash solution must come into contact with all of the surfaces of the hand. The hands must be rubbed together vigorously for a minimum of 10 to 15 seconds, paying particular attention to the tips of the fingers, the thumbs and the areas between the fingers. Hands should be rinsed thoroughly before drying with good quality paper towels.

if hands are soilded you take a paper towel, napkin etc turn on water to hot discard towel pump antibcterial soap in hand and scrub for 1-2 min all the way to wrist scrubbing nails in the palm of each hand then rinse in hot water from wrist to tip of fingers get towel napkin dry hands do not turn of dirty faucet yet discard used towel, get clean towel and turn off faucet, get a new one just in case to open RR door if not at home. if you can get towel before you wash hands and place where you can get to it if you have to fumble for something to dry your hands with...all in all once you wash your hands you want to try to touch the least amount of things.
