Sex, what are your views on it as someone in law enforcement

I am assuming that Kaliroadrager is a female based on her immediate and misguided answer regarding sex crimes. First, where did she get that 97% stat? (which by the way is extremely inaccurate and un-substantiated) Stats vary state to state and there is no work done to compile those stats federally. As a memeber of Law Enforcement, I look at the question and see a multiple number of answers. My views on Sex are not based on my experience in Law Enforcement but, on my personal and religious conviction. Law Enforcement has no provision regarding sex unless the act of sex is commited in conjunction with a crime. In simple terms, what happens behind closed doors needs to stay behind closed doors as long as all parties involved are of legal age (18 or older) and consenting to what is happening. It is when one party does not give consent or when what happens behind closed doors is released to the public (as in adult movies distributed illegally) that the law comes into play.
So in a nutshell, I have no view on sex in Law Enforcement as long as it is consentual between two (or more) consenting adults. Personally, I feel that Sex should only be between a man and a woman within the bonds of Matrimony and nowhere else. I only add to that to say that as a Law enforcement official and a person not hired to give or pass judgement, it is not my position (personally or professionally) to judge people. I leave that to the courts and God.

If you are referencing some of the old laws in the books regarding sodomy, adultery, sex outside of marriage, etc...then I believe that what 2 consenting adults do behind closed doors is their own business. You shouldn't have to worry about the police breaking into your bedroom when you are enjoying a little bondage or spanking with someone that's having fun.

If it's a public display, don't offend anyone and don't get caught. Keep it at Sturgis or the Mardi Gras. You might still get arrested, but some of that is part of the game people play.

Personally, I think that a group of people having sex is much less dangerous than a riot.

Wow, I love this question. In law enforcement about 97% of sexual crimes are committed by males, but that is not counting the cases where the males are afraid or intimidated to report a case. Women can be the suspects, but they tend to use milder approaches, like intoxication, sedation, or poisonation in their uses. Women are more subtle then men.

The crimes that the police respond to most is domestic scenes, usually the male is the aggressor, whether its something she said or did, the male is the one who did the wrong thing.

Men do a lot more prowling, also, they go after women who aren't their spouses or girlfriends and get into trouble that way with sting operations with a female undercover luring "johns" into the trap.

Also when it comes to unsolved cases, the handy female tendencies rule out any spousal wrong doing and lead the detectives to find the "dissapearing Male". The males are the ones most likely to skip town and avoid any doing in these cases. A better state to state communication process (In my opinion should be handled by women,) would lead to more captures of male suspects and reduce the serial crimes that those types get away with because the states are in touch with each other.

Sexual crimes are not justifiable or treatable. The sexual offenders will ten times out of ten repeat what they have done, only in a different town or city, if and when they are out of prison.

OK, Sex? In what way... if its an illegal act then it needs to be stoped, if its a couple of kids in a car, send them on their way (unless its my daughter then call me :-D) If you are asking about the sex of the officer as in male or female, I think women make very good officers most of the time and really help with asking questions after a sex crime has taken place and the female whom was attacked really dosent want to see annother male face.

Please either add more info on this question or ask it again with more info. Thanks

Not trying to be negitive but what does law enforcement have to do with sex.

Sex should be disregarded when it comes to law enforcement. Gender must not be taken into consideration but justice must be properly administered.

I never made it a point to base decisions on human sexuality solely on my job.
What consenting adults do is there business. Child molestation, rape and other sex crimes are differnt of course. Quite frankly if you have an affair, are homosexual or lesbian or like dressing up in a ballerina tu-tu and prancing around your house at midnight is of no concern of mine.

It's according if I'm the cop with the flashlight and I flash it on an unsuspecting couple during the throes of passion.
