General Pace said that homosexuality is immoral. Isn't killing all these people immoral as well? Some wars are righteous to fight. Islamic fundamentalism is immoral. If it's wrong for muslims to immigrate to Iraq to fight for Iraquis, is it not it immoral for U.S. to move in to Iraq to fight for Iraquis as well? Are we going to declare a war on homosexuality? We forgot about the war on terror in Afghanistan, now we have to declare another war on drugs because Afghanistan is full of opium. Should we just leave the opium in afghanistan and hope Bin Laden will get a contact high or maybe he will fall into peer pressure? If Pace declares war on homosexuality in the military will there be as many gays in the army as there are drugs in Afghanistan, or as many terrorists in Iraq? Maybe the G.O.P. should declare war on healthcare and the environment, then we will be up to our ears in clean air and healthy people!

they are very similar in a way
In the case of homosexuality, one party does the other party in the posterior (with both parties' consent)
In Iraq, Bush is doing his whole country up the posterior (with or without their consent.

I don't have a problem with either and there is nothing immoral about the war in Iraq...if the war in Iraq is immoral then every war we've had is immoral...US troops are going to die because thats what happens in a war and it IS true that if we pulled out of Iraq right now it WOULD create an enormous safe place for terrorists to hide and then we can say goodbye to our saftey here in the states...so stop bashing Bush for declaring war on an evil regime and stop saying our military can't do it's job

Ahh, the woefully misinformed. Perhaps you could point out which parts of the Joint Resolution of Congress authorizing the use of force was "immoral"? Perhaps you'd rather have a terrorist-funding (Haman, PLFP, Abu Nidal, Carlos the Jackal, the list goes on and on) brutal dictator back in power?

Perhaps you'd rather live under Shar'ia?? A US general puts homosexuality in the same basket as adulterty. Ohh, how horrible!! In the meantime, 7 countried carry DEATH PENALTIES for homosexuality. The number was 8 before the US invasion of Afghanistan. Same-sex intercourse officially carries the death penalty in several Muslim nations: Saudi Arabia (public execution by beheading, anyone?), Pakistan, Iran, Mauritania, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen. In many Muslim nations, such as Bahrain, Qatar, Algeria and the Maldives, homosexuality is punished with jail time, fines, or corporal punishment.

Hmm, we have a moral condemnation on one hand, the death penalty, "corporal punishment", and jail time on the other.

Which society would you rather live in?

The left and secular progressive continue to entertain us all, fiddling away while Rome burns.

The war is immoral we are over there for all the wrong reasons its sad when you see countrys pulling away and not helping the US anymore I support our troops and hope they all return home safely but I do not support Bush and tryin to take over another country when we have our own problems right here at home What has a homosexual person ever done to anyone they say this is the land of the free and the home of the brave Brave yes free No i mean if you have the right to be with the person who makes you happy and makes you smile and makes you feel like noone else what right do we as americans have the right to take that away from a homosexual person I believe bush should end the war bring our troops home and work on repairing our country instead of tryin to fix everything but bush is a sorry excuse for a president i think

Pace says homosexuality is immoral only because he's a backwards jerk. We've gone too far with basic human rights for anyone to be able, at least through the USA government, to declare outright a war on homosexuality.

However, following that reasoning, you make a great point. Absurdity draws a fine line, doesn't it? This administration has certainly had its share of absurdity.

morality comes from belief and religion, the Bible, the Torah and the Koran all speak against Homosexuality and not against war. If gay people want to serve I say Great. war is not about morals it is about winning.

The Geneal misses the bigger picture. Gay or straight, USA soldiers are getting killed one at a time...like emptying the Hoover Dam with a wheelbarrow.
