Koreans are some of the most friendly and polite people I've ever met.
As long as you are mindful of the fact that this is not your country and behave accordingly everyone will be very sweet to you.
Also, read up on Korean culture before coming, it's very helpful and will lessen "culture shock". Two big things to remember are that this is a male-dominated society and that elderly people must be treated with great respect. And also study drinking etiquette... it's more important than you'd think.
Just like any country/culture there are really nice people and a few jerks...
But honestly, the biggest thing is reading about the culture. If you know the polite customs it will open doors for you and help you form wonderful friendships. Everyone likes to feel that their culture and their home is appreciated.

It is possible that you will encounter folks who look down on Malaysians since there are those who think that Korea is the best ,smartest, most successful country in Asia. But since you are a university student, bear yourself with dignity, use the Korean you know and they will probably love you and treat you with respect. Have a great time and learn a lot!

Yes. Koreans are very friendly especially to foreigners. I think it's because they want foreigners to have a good impression about their country. One thing I noticed is Koreans love their country very much. They are also very generous and would occasionally treat you to coffee or snacks when you become their friend. Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Oh yes!
Being a universty students as foreigner will be great time for you to make many friends. Students are open for new ppl or new things. you know? And especially Korean students will try to make friends with you.
And your country is so famous as a wonderful place with great nature!
I wish I can visit Malaysia someday. And Malaysia's air line is great! And flight attendent's uniform is soooooo beau~tiful!

If you want to study in Korea. Why not?
There are many foreigne students in Yun-Se universty in Seoul.

Many people told me that Korean people is not friendly...And i have got a Korean friend who has lived in Indonesia for 14 years and now she is in South KOrea....She told me that they are not friendly...
But, the best thing is try to be the best at there....I believe ur kindness will make them so friendly....OK??

The Korean people are normally very friendly and polite to visitors to their country. However, it's up to you too.
If you're nice and observant of their customs and culture, you'll make may friends there. If you insist on behaving like you're special or if you disregard their customs and traditions, they will not like you and understandably so.

Korean university students respect foreign students. They are very interested in making friends with different culture.

It's just like any other place in the world... there are ugly people, pretty people, bad people, good people, stupid people, retarded people, dirty people.

KOREANS ARE SHY WHEN IT COMES TO SPEAKING WITH A FOREIGNERS, SO YOU HAVE TO APPROACH THEM FIRST.GENERALLY THEY ARE FRIENDLY PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO MAKE FOREIGN FRIENDS, AND LOVE TO PRACTICE THEIR ENGLIGH.JUST MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!!!!!!!!!
