Its the latest from Microsoft that can be 1 reason, its more secure has beautiful looks, easier to use... but i would advice you to wait for a few months until it gets old enough for all programs and games to be compatible with it....

Windows Vista has a much better user interface and is much more user-friendly once you get to know it. it looks much cooler and is safer. it has mre facilities than XP too.
