what would some of the reasons be for why a guy would walk right past a girl he likes besides him not seeing her?

> he was walking towards his friend and calling his name ( if that helps )

He might not want to ruin the moment. An independent attractive woman in her element is something of a beauty in itself. Women are intimidating and guys don't want to scare them off or seem like a jerk for just going out his way to interrupt her moment to insert his voice into her world in the vague hope that this women, understanding that women are far more subtle naturally then men are and most men can't read women that easily, will accept his advances.
Guys see many attractive women but most are not going to walk up to ever single one...

Believe me if a guy likes a girl he will see her or even smell her perfume a mile away.. but he may be shy, or he has nothing to talk about "gets confused", so he tries to hide by calling his friends..

He is embarrassed , or does not want to meet your gaze just then or just has something important to tell his friend at that time. It's all part of playing the game right:just doing what girls do, playing hard to get.

Could be he is shy or is hoping she will make a move. Hard to say but I am a shy guy who has done that a time or two.

LOL- he really didn't see her.

Sometimes one can train urself to pretend not to have seen the person u like because u notice that they have become aware of ur attention towards them.

I usually hid my feelings like that.
