IS THAT BAD?! no wonder i get back aches once in a while - maybe bcoz of incorrect body positioning?? will this progress as i grow older? or can it be corrected without use of braces? how ?? pls help!

Tough luck you have scoliosis or lateral curvature of the spine. However, this should not be a hindrance to your being gainfully employed. At 21, you may have stopped growing and bracing will not correct your scoliosis anymore. Bracing is effective only if started early-before skeletal maturity. Theoretically, once the patient is skeletally mature, the scoliosis progresses one degree per year and 5-8 degrees every time pregnancy occurs. Remember, this is only theoretical. Some patients with more curves than you are leading full lives. Just watch out for your offsprings if they will have scoliosis too and catch the scoliosis early so treatment can be instituted before it is too late.
