I have a 2 yr old son and we also have a puppy. We play with the puppy together, and it would lick my face when it's happy. My son gave me a lick instead of a kiss yesterday!! I think he's imitating the puppy. How do I teach him not to?

LoL - Thats so cute!

My daughter does the same thing, cept she tells me she is being a puppy.

I encourage her to make believe and usually if she gets too carried away with the licking like a puppy, I use distraction - I suggest other animals she can pretend to be - a frog (hop hop hop!) a cat (meow!) or a butterfly (where she flaps her "wings" and flitters around the room - NOT licking things! LoL)

Give that a go - its enducational too if you introduce new animals each time and even demonstrate what the animal does - like using ur arm as a trunk for an elephant or leaping like a frog does.

Enjoy this time - and remember to get it on tape to bring out at their 21st to embaress the heck out of them! LoL

hes still a baby, I would not worry to much about it. Maybe say only puppies lick and not little boys?

Try and give the puppy to a friend unless the baby is mature.
