i am African American and my hair is just below my shoulders extensions will not help you hair to grow it increases the breakage honestly its patience a good diet and looking after you hair i only use salon shampoos and i use a treatment as my conditioner and i wash my hair once a week and if i want to wet it down in between washes then i just rinse it use your treatment once a week i try to leave it in for at least 30 Min's but i does take time

You see my mom use to tell me hair old. I know some people doesn't lik using oil. Coconut oil is the best oil to make your hair grow very fast. My mon has a very long hair even me. I never use any shampoo to wash my hair(because these contains chemicals that destroys the structure of the hair)Take my advice and it surely make your hair grow.

Africans naturally have curly hair. So they don't seem to look long even if they are. Braiding your hair like Brandy or Alicia Keys might just do the trick. Or you could have it permanently straightened at a salon. Both should cost you a lot of $$$, though...

What are you doing to your hair? Are u constantly wearing the same hair style, relaxing, coloring, and over washing, whatever it is its causing damage!.
Men and women with natural styles like braids and dreads grow their hair and so can you! . Give your hair a rest! oil your scalp.Get it cornrowed, braided, twisted, or a sewn-in weave(no glue). Eat right and take some daily vitamins.

there's lots of myths out there about how to grow your hair long faster like drinking milk (bull if you ask me, i don't drink milk and my hair grows fast! like to see it if i drank heaps of milk!!), brushing it all the time (is good for your hair in getting rid of dead hair but doesnt help it grow faster) and massages on the head.
The only suggestion I can give is to take good care of your hair. get it trimmed regularly to get rid of split ends and it'll help it grow nicely. trimming is annoying, i agree as it feels like you go no where but give it a few months and you'll see your hair thanks you for the special attention!
Otherwise just be patient and take care of your hair!

have monthly treatments at the salon and always get it trimmed . You want your hair to be healthy. use defense products against the suns harmful rays and dont use a brush when its wet, always use a comb
