my new gf just sent me an e-mail. we've only been together about a month, but already she's bringing up the "M" word. it freaked me out. i mean, i love her. really, REALLY love her, and can see myself with her FOREVER. the only problem is i'm not sure if i'm ready to be married again. i DON"T want to lose her. what would be a good way to tell her this without her thinking i'm losing interest? i'm thinking i should just submit and get it over with. she is one DETERMINED lady. she ALWAYS get what she wants. if she wants to marry me, she will probably figure out how to make it happen. HELP PLEASE.

Ooh u r in a jam

Uhm..can't u just come out and say it. If there's one thing Ive learnt it's that not being honest in a relationship for whatever reason backfires, sometimes horribly sometimes mildly.

At least try to ind out where she is coming from, why is sh bringing up the subject so soon. does she really fell y'all r ready to do that or is she feeling scared bout something.

I really think you MAY regret it if you're not ready and you don't want a less the blissful marriage do you? For both ur sakes.

Never do something that serious just to satisfy someone. The simple answer is to sit her down and tell her how you fell- You love her and one day would love to marry her, but right now you're just not ready. Me and my bf have been together for 2 1/2 years and I'm ready but he isn't but I'm not going to pressure him to do anything he's not ready to, because that's what real loves all about. So if she really loves you, she'll be there when you're ready.

Just explain to her that you regard marriage as an eternal bond when two persons are in an unconditional love. It is a very serious matter in which you may need more time to consider as you not yet ready for it. Assure her that your love is true but she has to give you more time, both for you and her, to discover more of each other. Tell her honestly about your ideas and feelings about it. She may understand. Good luck.

You have only been together for a month and she wants to get married? That's ridiculous. Way too early. I can guarantee that a marriage will fail if the two people only dated for 1 month.

Tell her it's way too early, and she needs to slow down or your relationship will never work. And by the way ... she might just want your money.

Well...perhaps you could try distracting her from the 'M' word by telling her your taking her on a holiday or something like that. Its obvious you love her and the 'M' word is not out of the question just maybe ignore it for a while...so she thinks you're not - not interested in marrying her just not yet...if that makes sense.

Are you crazy? a month? marry?, love? what are you talking about? Are you on planet earth or not? Because of people like you, people do not be live in marriage anymore. You are promising to be with her forever, do you even know her last name yet?
