I know exactly how you feel, my bf was deployed to Iraq for 13 months. It was a tough time and emotional rollercoaster for all those close to him. Most people don't realize the sacrifice that the military families make, and how hard it truly is to wave your love off to a plane headed to a god-forsaken war zone. I also understand how you feel about the war, it was so tough to have him away fighting in a cause that I just couldn't see the point in...Afghanistan maybe. But Iraq, no way. My bf opted out or re-upping about 2 years ago, and our life has been much better since. I knew this war was going nowhere and I couldn't stand to let him go back there again. Keep the letters and goodie boxes coming to him, my bf told me that those kept him sane during the roughest days. God Bless you and your husband, and keep supporting the troops like I know you do...they need you now more than ever.

I believe that George Bush(republican) America John Howard (australian liberal) and Blair of britain have made decisions on the assumption that people in iraq deserved a life with out the fear of being murdered constantly by others in iraq and surrounding states.

As a veteran, I couldn't agree with you more. This thing has dragged out so long now that the entire world is wondering just how stupid we could get with this. The troops do need to come home, repair families, and let Iraq take care of Iraq.

Yeah I think every time terrorist blows up one of our embassy somewhere, we need to get right the F**K out! Who cares if we don't have any oil or gas, or steel, or cheep clothes from China. He**, we can go back to the good old days, and ride our horse's, and scrub our clothes on scrubbing boards, and make our own by hand. Chop wood build a fire, heat up the water you pumped from the well, and then clean you clothes. Yeah we need to get out of everywhere. Be Proud.

No one joins the army under the impression that war is not our business. No one wants to deploy, but we want to be the best at what we do. We can't do that by abandoning Iraq and letting the terorists take over.
If you'll notice, the democrats haven't exactly made haste in ending this thing. That leads me to believe that they had different things in mind during their campaigns.

I am so thankful to the Vets of all the past wars who gave of themsvelves so unselfishly. My Dad is so proud and honored to serve his fellow Americans and his country. What ANGERS me is that the people my Dad is defending freedom for are the very same people who are protesting and destroying memorials. The memorials of soldiers who gave their lives so that these people have the right to protest. I believe it’s called “FREEDOM”. Well, I can assure you, I will be in DC on the 17th reminding these people that all the memorials are for those who died for our FREEDOM!! Maybe they need a little reminder!! I will support every single soldier past, present and future! Bush is NOT the only one that voted for this war, but he is the one everyone wants to blame. It would suck worse if we had not took it to them, instead of them bringing it to us, which they would. Your husband was not drafted, he went by his own choice, why, as his wife are you not supporting him.

the war ln iraq is a waste of time, money, and most of all human life!!! mr.bush thinks he is trying to save iraq and its people but all he is doing is filling he's back pocket with the oil profit. there are so many other third world countries out there that need military help, but u.s.a won't help if there is no return in funds. plus mr.bush should take care of his own country first, and the starving people in his own streets.

don't apologize for what you believe. even if removing saddam was the right thing to do, we should have been out of there after finding the little fairy hiding in his hole in the ground. at that time few terrorists had entered the country and the sunnis and shiites weren't fighting. that was our window of opportunity to claim victory and leave gracefully. I absolutely guarantee you that leaving Iraq was never in Bush's plans. Ever.

The war in Iraq must already be stopped in order to save American soldiers from dying in a wrong war.
